Bill Hazelett established the company in 1956 to carry on the development of the Twin-Belt continuous strip casting machine invented by his father, C.W. Hazelett. The company established itself on the present site, in Malletts Bay, in 1958.

Hazelett engineers, designs, and manufactures custom-made Twin-belt continuous casting machines, which are sold worldwide. Our market is the international metals industry. Additionally, replacement parts, spare parts, and technical upgrades account for nearly 50% of annual sales. Hazelett does not do any casting: our customers are in the business of strip-casting. David N. Hazelett is the executive in charge of our 115 person, 70,000 square foot facility.
