Non-profit Recognizes Community Partners for Student Successes
Bill Stenger kicks off celebration event
Linking Learning to Life, Inc., a Burlington-based non-profit is hosting a “Community Partner Recognition Event” to thank key businesses, schools, community organizations and individuals that help area youth succeed.
Linking Learning to Life runs a broad range of programs that prepare K-12 students and out-of-school youth for careers and college. Three thousand Chittenden County youth, and six thousand statewide, participate in these programs each year.
“This event is one way for us to say thanks to our friends and to acknowledge that we couldn’t have done it without you!” says Rich Tulikangas, Executive Director of Linking Learning to Life. “Partnerships are essential to helping students make the connection between what happens in school and the realities of work and continued learning.”
Bill Stenger, President of Jay Peak Resort & Chair of the Next Generation Commission statrted the event by reinforcing the partnership message.
