Professional Development
Linking Learning to Life has supported professional development for teachers in the areas of applied learning, community based learning and internships. The following list is just a few of the opportunities Linking Learning to Life has supported that benefit teachers and the students in their classrooms. Examples of professional development that Linking Learning to Life has supported include:
- Implementation of the Cisco Networking Academy Curriculum taught at Burlington High School.
- Service learning training to implement curriculum.
- Implementation of the REAL Enterprises curriculum at the Middle and High School levels.
- In-service workshops on Long Block Scheduling for teachers.
- Financial support for teacher attendance at national conferences.
- School Development Institutes for teachers and administrators.
